Château Puybarbe

Hundreds of years old, the fine Château Puybarbe, owned by the Orland family since 1952, passed into Finnish ownership in October 2018 by Riku and Anna Väänäsä. This estate producing premium wines is situated in an excellent location in the Côtes de Bourge wine region, east of the Gironde estuary. On the opposite side of the river to the west is the village of Margaux with its famous castles. The region of Bourges, which was founded by the Romans, is characterised by its gravel, clay and limestone-rich, coniferous soils, which, with skilled hands, produce excellent wines with a very classic Bordeaux character. The estate has around 40 hectares of vineyards, around 80% Merlot and the rest Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Malbec.
