Makea, kypsän aromikas, kaksikymmenvuotias valkoinen Port. Väri on kehittynyt, läpikuultavan rusehtava. Aromeissa on luumuisuutta, mantelia, vanilhjaa, viikunaa ja rusinaa. Maku on silkkinen, tasapainoinen, makean paahteinen. Hieno viini pähkinäisille jälkiruuille, juustoille, vaalealle suklaalle, maitosuklaalle tai uuniomenalle jäätelön kera.

Vieira de Sousa is a family business now in its fifth generation. The house was an important bottler and seller of port wine until the early 1870s, when the phylloxera insect, which had largely destroyed European crops, began to wreak havoc in the Douro Valley. Financial difficulties led to the sale of the family brand and until the beginning of the 21st century the house sold its production to a larger company. In 2008, the family’s own brand saw the light of day again when the house began bottling and selling its own wine at the market. It was started by Luisa and her father, António Vieira de Sousa, and is now run by Luisa and her sister, Maria Eduarda. The estate has about 60 hectares of vineyards, divided into four separate gardens (Quinta) near the village of Pinhao, in the Cima Corgo subregion, in the quality core of the Douro River. The main cellars of the house are located in the village of Celeiros and in addition to Port wines, the house also produces high quality red and whit wines.
