Brigaldara

The history of the estate of Brigaldara is known since the 1260s and it has been owned by many different noble families during its history. In 1929 Renzo Cesari bought the estate for his family and since then the Cesari family has developed this famous and significant estate. In 1979, Stefano Cesari bottled the first bottles bearing the name of Brigaldara’s farm, and today Stefano’s sons Lamberto and Antonio continue the quality work in their father’s footsteps. Brigaldara has a total of 50 hectares of vineyards in the Maranone valley (Valpolicella Classico area) and on the slopes of the more remote village of Grezzana. The estate has two famous single vineyards; Case Vecie and Cavolo, both on the eastern slopes of the village of Grezzana. Brigaldara is certainly one of the best producers of Valpolicella, whose wines strike a balance between traditional and modern style. In addition to wines, Brigaldara produces excellent olive oil and summer truffles.
